Honeymoon Part 1

John and I stayed at the Royal Playa del Carmen for our first week as honeymooners in Mexico. We had a wonderful time at the resort and would recommend it to friends and family. We stayed at the adults only all inclusive resort (the family resort is next door and appears equally beautiful).

The food and drinks were amazing! The Royal has a wide variety of restaurants available to eat at and all were incredible! I can't say enough good things about our experience, the service, the resort, the cleanliness, the food, the variety, the pools, etc. the resort is exceptional.

The weather was beautiful even during the off season. It was hot and extremely humid. Thank goodness the rooms had air conditioning. It was high 80's, low 90's all week. There were thunder storms throughout the day that were cozy. It only rained one day for a few hours and it was actually really cozy. Being from Washington I do my best to avoid rain when on vacation but this experience was really beautiful.

John and I took off on 2 days of excursions (which I will talk about and share in a future post) so we had a few days by the pool to unwind, relax, enjoy the sunshine and swimming and a few days to explore Cancun area.
